Getting help
Reaching Us, And How Fast We Arrive.
Are you available 24/7 for emergencies?
Yes — a real person answers our line 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and dispatches a certified crew immediately. Water, fire and storm damage do not wait for business hours, and neither do we.
How fast can you be on site?
Typically inside 60 minutes across Metro Detroit and the Blue Water Area. We stage crews from two offices — Troy and Port Huron — so neither end of the territory is covered by an hour-long drive. With water and smoke, the sooner we start the more we save.
What areas do you serve?
Troy, Oakland County, Macomb County, the greater Metro Detroit area, and the Blue Water Area including Port Huron and St. Clair County. The service area page lists every community — and if you do not see your town, call us, because we likely serve it.
Are you licensed, insured and certified?
Yes. DriForce is a licensed Michigan builder (#2102202262) with IICRC-certified crews. That combination lets us legally handle both the mitigation and the full structural rebuild, which is exactly what protects your home and your insurance claim.
Insurance & cost
Who Pays, And What It Costs.
Does homeowners insurance cover restoration?
For covered losses, usually yes — water, fire and storm damage are commonly covered. We document the loss, build the scope your adjuster expects, and coordinate directly with your carrier. See financing and insurance for how it works.
Do you bill my insurance company directly?
Wherever your policy allows, yes — so you are not fronting the full cost or chasing paperwork. We document everything in Xactimate and coordinate with your adjuster. Details on the financing page.
Do I have to pay my deductible up front?
In most covered losses your deductible is your share and we bill the rest to your carrier where allowed. We explain exactly what to expect before any work begins — no surprises.
What if I do not have insurance, or the damage is not covered?
You still have options. We offer transparent, itemized pricing and flexible financing with manageable monthly payments, so a large one-time bill does not stand between you and getting your home back.
Water damage
Flooding, Drying, And What Comes After.
What should I do first when my basement floods?
If it is safe, shut off the water source and the power to the affected area, then call. Avoid wading into standing water near outlets. The faster extraction and drying begin, the less damage and mold you will face — see water damage restoration.
How long does it take to dry out a house?
Most structural drying takes about three to five days, depending on how far the water traveled, what it soaked and the category of water. We monitor moisture daily and do not call it dry until the readings confirm it.
Can water damage cause mold?
Yes — under published industry guidance mold can begin growing within 24 to 48 hours of water intrusion, which is why fast professional drying matters so much. If mold has already started, see mold remediation.
Fire & smoke
Soot, Odor, And Getting Back Inside.
What should I do after a house fire?
Once the fire department says it is safe, do not re-enter until the structure is cleared, and avoid touching soot-covered surfaces — soot is acidic and spreads. Call us to secure the property and start cleanup. More on fire damage restoration.
Is my home safe to enter after a fire?
Not until it has been cleared. Fire can compromise structure, electrical systems and air quality. We board up and stabilize the property first, then work room by room.
Can smoke damage and odor really be removed?
Yes. Smoke and soot travel throughout a home and require specialized cleaning and deodorization — ordinary cleaning will not remove the odor. Acting fast saves more, from surfaces to belongings.
Mold
Containment, Safety, And Keeping It Gone.
Is black mold dangerous?
Any significant mold growth can affect indoor air quality and should be handled by certified professionals with proper containment — not scrubbed with bleach, which can spread spores. See mold remediation.
Can I stay in my home during mold remediation?
Often yes — we seal off the work area with containment and run HEPA air filtration to keep spores from spreading to the rest of the house. For larger jobs we will advise you honestly.
How do you keep mold from coming back?
By fixing the moisture source, not just the mold. We remove it at the source, treat the area and address the underlying water problem — because mold always comes back if the moisture does.
Storm & roof
Tarping, Hail, And The Claim.
Do you provide emergency board-up and tarping?
Yes, 24/7. We tarp roof openings and board up damaged windows and walls immediately to stop water and debris getting in, then handle the permanent repairs. See storm damage.
How do I know if I have storm or hail roof damage?
It is often invisible from the ground — lifted shingles reseal crooked and hail bruises shed granules slowly, with leaks showing up months later. A documented inspection tells you for sure. See roofing.
Will you work with my insurance on storm damage?
Yes. We document the damage with photos, build the scope and work directly with your adjuster on storm and hail claims, so the claim reflects the true cost of the loss.
Our process
What Happens From The First Call.
What happens when I call DriForce?
A real person answers, gathers the essentials and dispatches a crew immediately — no phone tree, no callback queue. A certified crew arrives fast to stabilize the loss, and we guide you through the insurance claim from there.
Do you handle both the cleanup and the rebuild?
Yes, and it is the difference that matters most. As a licensed Michigan builder we carry your property from emergency cleanup and drying all the way through the finished rebuild, under one team and one point of contact. No handoffs.
How long does the whole restoration take?
It depends on the scope — drying is a few days, while a full rebuild can run weeks to months. We give you an honest timeline up front and keep you updated at every stage.
Will my repairs match the rest of my home?
Yes. We texture-match drywall, blend flooring and trim, and color-match paint so the repaired areas disappear into the original. The goal is that you cannot tell where the damage was.
